Transitioning Our 2021 Year 7s
Lockdown restrictions have caused College staff, and our enrolled Year 6 students for 2021, to connect in some unique and fun ways.
Recently the girls were sent some OLMC cupcake toppers and encouraged to send in a photo of their culinary triumphs! It is apparent that we will have numerous talented chefs, food stylists and photographers joining us next year.
As part of their Mercy Day packs, mailed to them in September, the girls were invited to write a postcard to the Principal, Ms Weir, to introduce themselves. Ms Weir has already received quite a number of postcards and has enjoyed reading them all.
Each fortnight throughout Term 4, the incoming students will be emailed various activities and information to welcome and help prepare them for their arrival next year. They will also be watching some clips introducing our 2021 House Captains and House system. Some other activities planned include a drawing tutorial created by artist Adrian Stojkovich, our DAT technician, and tips from current students about how to organise their locker.
College staff are looking forward to meeting the girls ‘up close and personal’, but in the interim, we are hoping that they are enjoying the activities and looking forward to what’s ahead.
