As part of our Jubilee Year of Mercy and Mercy Week celebrations, the College hosted a morning tea for people who are working hard for refugees, asylum seekers and detainees in the areas of advocacy and support of individuals and communities. We wanted to express our appreciation for their work, stand in solidarity with them, and continue to learn about the issues and challenges of action for change.
Like all Victorian schools, we have been reviewing and strengthening our Student Safety policies and practices in response to specific requirements of the Victorian Child Safe Standards, as set out in Ministerial Order No. 870 (2016). As a Catholic school and a Ministry of Mercy Education Ltd, we have a mission-driven, moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for students and to protect them from all forms of abuse and neglect. We are steadfast in our resolve to honour this responsibility. More information about our key commitments and policies can be viewed on the Student Safety webpage, under About Us.
