Over three months, up to mid-May, our students have been quietly accruing some significant achievements in Girls Sport Victoria (GSV) competitions, particularly at junior and intermediate levels. Teamwork, resilience, fair play and inclusiveness have featured strongly in these successful outcomes and there have been some noteworthy ‘personal bests’ for some students.
It’s ‘game on’ at OLMC in the next few days as we fundraise for Jesuit Services Cambodia. The campaign begins on Wednesday with an impromptu staff-student lunchtime debate (the Principal will lead the staff team!). Thursday features ‘treats and sweets’ stalls, and on Friday we have a gold-coin casual clothes day. The final event is the Friday lunchtime Dare to Donate Teacher Parade, where Pastoral Leaders, for a hefty donation, accept their group’s challenge to dress up and masquerade as a character of the group’s choice. Congratulations to the SRC for their organisation of the week and best wishes to all involved. May there be some lucrative outcomes!
